Objectives

The department aims to meet the requirements of the National Center for Environmental Compliance by implementing programs and projects aligned with approved environmental standards and regulations in the Kingdom.
It seeks to protect the environment from potential environmental impacts resulting from human activities by monitoring pollution sources, assessing risks, and taking appropriate corrective actions
The department also works to enhance environmental efficiency and compliance within the Kingdom by promoting a culture of environmental commitment, applying best practices, and developing national capabilities in this field.

Tasks

Drilling test boreholes and monitoring wells to assess soil and groundwater quality.
Assisting in the evaluation of soil and groundwater quality in targeted areas both within and outside the Kingdom.
Detecting the potential for soil or groundwater contamination in the targeted areas.

Project: Drilling Test Boreholes at Sites and Facilities of the National Water Company

This project, in accordance with the requirements of the National Center for Environmental Compliance, aims to implement deep test boreholes (piezometers) and conduct specialized field tests.
These tests are intended to evaluate soil and groundwater quality at sites affiliated with the National Water Company, particularly around wastewater treatment plants.
